Backpackin'

The little flashlight is a Photon II. It came with that little clip thing which we found to be extremely handy. The gate is strong, stronger than one might think from such a small amount of metal.  We use it to quick attach and unattached our Photon IIs from a neck lanyard to a small loop at the top of our Tarptent Double Rainbow. Smaller than and at least as strong as the smallest carabineer I’ve ever seen.
I was so intrigued by the usefulness of the clip, I went looking for a source for more and found Berkeley Point (http://www.berkeleypoint.com/). I bought a variety of sizes to experiment with and we now use them for all sorts of things. I keep one of the larger ones pictured on my key chain to easily attach and unattached my wedding ring when I am massaging people at work. It makes that, as well as adding and subtracting keys, much easier than split rings. These are stainless steel. Now the company is selling titanium ones.
