ok i know thats a big order but i still have 10 days of vacation left and the weather is changing so i'm thinking maybe two - 35 mile hikes a week apart or more 1 in nov. 1 in dec? anyway this would be may very 1st more then 1 or 2 night hikes in like 25 years, ya been that long. i'm in good shape i think i work outside all day rain or shine. so i' thinking north to south start at rodmen damb and ending 1st 1/2 at hopkins prairie? theres no fees no permitts as far as i can tell i have to make a few calls to make sure. has anyone done this hike whats your feeling on it and if you have time and want to do some of it with me feel free to let me know . what i don't know is, is there reliable places to find water? i have a book called hiking florida and it says there is good water sources most of the trail also are there reliable maps at the trail head or is it better to join FTA i already subscribe to sandy's site but there is no maps for this section i'm hopping to start on a saturday and finish the 1st 1/2 on tuesday somtime anyway any information anyone may have would be great | |

I've never hiked that area so can't help you with first hand information. I'd get the FTA maps. I've used them for other areas and although they're not the best maps I've ever used, they're adequate.
Have a great time. | |
